Thousands of protestors have taken to the streets in downtown Hong Kong to protest a new Chinese security law, which critics say is Beijing's attempt to eradicate civil liberties

Thousands of protestors have taken to the streets in downtown Hong Kong to protest a new Chinese security law, which critics say is Beijing's attempt to eradicate civil liberties.

Beijing unveiled plans on Friday to impose laws on Hong Kong that would ban subversion, secession, foreign interference and any acts that threaten national security. Protestors are concerned the laws are not compatible with the “one nation, two system” policy and place limitations on their traditional freedoms. Many governments around the world have condemned the laws, which is due to passed by Beijing without consultation with the Hong Kong government.

👎China signed a 50 year Declaration regarding Hong Kong. It shows China says whatever to get whatever they want, does not respect any agreement. Let China’s world aggression regarding coronavirus and Hong Kong’s crisis be a big warning for Victoria’s China Belt and Road deal.

Every country has this so called national security law, maybe comes with different names. And only China can’t have this law in their own land? So every other country can go China and subvert their regime? This double standard shit is ridiculous lol

SKY NEWS. HOW ABOUT WE GIVE AUSTRALIAN PEOPLE CIVIL LIBERTIES TO UNDERTAKE BRUTALITY ON THE ELDERLY?

SUPPORT HONG KONG POLICE TO STOP THIS PROTESTER TERROR.

THESE PROTETERS HAVE AUTONOMY & FREEDOM. THEY HAVE CALLED IN AMERICA TO SUPPORT THIER BRUTALITY WHERE HONG KONG HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO BRING IN SECURITY MEASURES. ANY WESTERN COUNTRY WOULD DO THAT WITH FOREIGN SUPPORTED TERROR ATTACKS.

SKY NEWS SUPPORTING TRUMP WAR MONGERING.

WHAT IF CHINA SUPPORTED ABORIGINAL PEOPLE IN AUSTRALIA TO BRUTALISE PEOPLE IN THE STREET LIKE THESE HK PROTESTERS FOR AUTONOMY IN THIER OWN LAND OR THE SAME TWO SYSTEMS ONE COUNTRY AUTONOMY HONG KONG PEOPLE ALREADY HAVE IN AN EX BRITISH OPIUM WAR TERRITORY OF CHINA?

Aussies should be clear about how evil CCPChina is. It has violated the international agreement with UK on HK's autonomy by directly imposing law in order to take away freedom. Think of the blood in its hands before cooperating with or buying things from it. BoycottChina

The pre 1996 HK migrants have done plenty for our country, they appreciate democracy and will work hard to preserve it This makes it inconvenient for foreigners to come to Hong Kong to incite crowds and plan Hong Kong's independence? This makes itinconvenient for foreign media and the government to accuse the Chinese government and provoke trouble on the Hong Kong issue? Thisis really a evil law It's an internal decision between the Beijing govt and the people of Hong Kong.
