MORNING BRIEFING: Transport delays are expected across Sydney this morning as hundreds of bus drivers walk off the job

Today's bus strike is part of an escalating dispute between the government and transport unions.

"If you've got any doubts and you don't have to travel today, I wouldn't choose today to get on a bus in one of those areas," Mr Collins said. Evander Tuala, 23, was allegedly punched in the head and fell to the ground during a fight that broke out between two groups on Oxford Street just after midnight on Saturday.Detective Superintendent John Duncan said there were many witnesses to the incident and they are being asked to come forward with footage from dashcams or mobile phones.

The state has a big portion of vulnerable seats and there is a concentration of them in Sydney's west. The Princess Royal, who has been in NSW since Saturday, met with the families of Geoff Keaton and Andrew O'Dwyer on Sunday during her visit to the NSW Rural Fire Service headquarters. The federal government is being urged to set up a JobKeeper package to save GP practices from closing in rural and regional Australia.

"We can use other mechanisms to maintain services in those communities for a period of 12 to 24 months until we can get the supply of workforce back into rural communities."It is hoped the pop-up classrooms will be in place early in term 2.

If Labor party win this election you see more workers on strike that is the Labor party .

Walk? Why didn't they catch a bus.

Nurse and bus driver industrial activity direct result of Coalition wage suppression policies. Higher industrial activity than Nader Coalition disrupts economic activity

Indeed it does!

You never mention forcing workers to undertake an experimental vaccine as one of those 'conditions'. Lack of workers industry wide wouldn't be because of this would it?

Travellers face Sydney Airport chaos for third consecutive dayPictures taken as early as 5am show hundreds of travellers queueing to check in at Jetstar’s domestic terminal, as Qantas and Jetstar operate at 110 per cent pre-pandemic domestic capacity for Easter. sallyrawsthorne outsourcing everything was a bad idea in retrospect sallyrawsthorne Alan Joyce is an idiot. Maybe Qantas should invest more of their over priced fares into wages and train for the new, inexperienced workforce. sallyrawsthorne Sydney airport is the least welcoming airport in the world, both when you are leaving and when returning.

Drier days ahead for Sydney, before showers return next weekSaturday will see showers throughout the day, but significantly less rain will fall than earlier this week. Conditions should ease on Sunday ahead of sunshine on Monday. sallyrawsthorne Weathers been glorious In Melbourne 😉 sallyrawsthorne Face it, we live in a city with a wet season now & that will be the norm. Relentless blue sky Sydney is gone. It removes a massive reason to be here & the kicker is - half of us voted for this Already one of the most unaffordable cities on earth to live - I'd say Sydney is over
