People attending the Yours and Owls Festival in Wollongong over the long weekend have been warned there will be a highly visible police presence.
Police said they would focus on alcohol and drug-related crime, violence and anti-social behaviour at this year's event, using officers from units including Wollongong Police, the NSW Police Dog and Mounted Unit and Public Order Riot Squad. Double demerit penalties are now in place for the NSW Labor Day long weekend and will run until 11:59pm on Monday.
