Brisbane businesses and the wider community felt the impact of the imposed restrictions following Saturday's rise in cases.
Ashleigh Ernst runs a picnic planning business and was caught off guard with several bookings this morning. "I actually had my client call me and she had said have you seen the news, have you heard any updates?" she told the ABC. She only had small groups booked in for Saturday but will now look to investigate how to adapt her business model to adhere to the new rules.
"So my phone was going crazy with emails and phone calls ... like even for future bookings I have everyone in an absolute panic," she said."I didn't know until we were on our way here. I wouldn't have known coming here, but a few of these guys heard this morning," she said.
