Nice that the gov has thrown some $$ around the past few days. But they need staff to patient ratio's, more rigid checks & better qualified staff. Also better paid staff. Aged care providers are just like child care providers, only in it for the money & they must held accountable

Like the banking commission, this has been a long time coming, the downside is what are they going to do about the abuse ? Is it going to be another toothless tiger ?

Privatising aged care was as seriously demented as privatising child care. This govt is demented!

gov funded subsidy for aged care residents is slow to catch up with cost so many operators r cutting staffs to resident ratio
