Analysis: Little clarity or comfort from conclusion of ugly Folau dispute | geerob

The game may have had to pay through the nose for it. Wednesday's resolution was, while only the second formal attempt at mediation, at least the fourth serious conversation between the opposing legal teams about a financial settlement.

Neither Folau's team, RA nor the Waratahs would comment on the financial settlement. But, given the decorated dual international was only in the first six months of a four-year contract worth $5.7 million, a figure worth close to the balance unpaid - about $5 million - was, in legal circles, considered a reasonable estimate of where the parties could have reached agreement.

It is cold comfort. As one senior RA figure said, "we've lost a great player, all that juice from the game over the past year and all the money it's cost to date". Plus a likely seven-figure sum on top. And the damage wrought by being a crucible for the freedom of speech and religious protections movements sweeping many Western secular democracies.

Folau's former employers were also not forced to say they were wrong to sack him, and his legal claim has been withdrawn.

geerob Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matt. 19.23

geerob this is a court of law not a court of justice.

geerob No comfort or conclusion, wont fade just simmer. Most certainly with similarities in this case & the likes of a PM, who both use public christian exposure in words that are in complete contrast to their actions of ill-will. Both major contributors of turning people off religion.

geerob RELIGION A CHILD MOLESTERS HEAVEN IN PARADISE🤬HAPPY CLAPPERS WAY TO MAKE MILLIONS even though they are CONNING HYPOCRITES😡🤬HUMANS are suckers believing in fairytales it’s obvious the happy clappers don’t mind their priests helping themselves to our children🤬SAVE THE CHILDREN

geerob This is clear. He changed his gay hate talk for the cash. He accepted an apology in lieu of the mega cash. No cash will go to the homeless or poor. He will take what he got and buy another investment property. He won’t return the crowdfunded cash fakefaith

geerob When women lead. Lol at quota chicks.
