Outgoing treasurer and federal member for Kooyong Josh Frydenberg addresses the media in Hawthorn on Sunday. The Liberal Party is coming to terms with last night's election loss and several members have reflected on what went wrong.
Former Treasurer Josh Frydenberg also reflected on his party's defeat and his likely defeat in the seat of Kooyong to independent candidate Monique Ryan. Former Liberal Party frontbencher Julie Bishop sat on Channel Nine's election panel and put the change of government down to a failure of both major parties, rather than a win for Labor, due to the low primaries both received.“Women did not see their concerns and interests reflected in a party led by Scott Morrison in coalition with Barnaby Joyce,” Ms Bishop said.
“We wouldn’t usually celebrate any extinction event, but we’re delighted to see the end of climate dinosaur policies on climate change," CEO of Greenpeace Australia Pacific David Ritter said.
What a load of rubbish
Not what Barnaby says
Just climate change? All we asked away they take their entitled jobs seriously. Something the rest of us have to do without the many perks.
Now Scotty can take hi vacation, no wait- let’s the disaster happen first.
Nothing to do with them being sub par humans either….right?
Don’t be sorry for Mr Morrison, he will be just fine, supported by is beautiful family,he did a great job in saving our economy from disaster and making our country strong and proud, one of the best in the world, surely soon will see the difference and I’m sure you’ll regret it.
The Liberal Party have reflected on their election loss, conceding that the Coalition could have taken CORRUPTION! more seriously.
I don't know whether anyone else noticed but...
🙄
ScottMorrisonMP how the FCUK can you NOT take climate change seriously !!
Duh
This is thanks to Scott and the carry on of the LNP for the last 9 years. Engagement will return with a caring Labor government.
Wow, you think?
Maybe they should have just taken the voting public more seriously.
Even if Australia had Net-Zero Emissions by tomorrow: Our climate will still be affected by the majority of carbon emissions emitted from Northern Hemisphere that Earth has proven to naturally cycle back down through Southern Hemisphere across Australia etc. AusPol Election
The ineptitude and piss-poor performance of this sad excuse for a 'leader' allowing Labor back into office will unfortunately leave a terrible legacy for Australia for years to come - just my humble opinion ! 😢
scotts old fashioned religious gutless personality and leadership style were also part of it.
Too bad, so sad Coalition. Hey LNP, here’s $1, call someone who cares! ((Remember a $1 an hour increase?) Another failure for community……. AusVotes22
More like should have put national interest before vested interests.
3 years too late. Arrogance is a bitch. And ignorance can’t be helped.
😂
And coming up after the break, we look at where bears like to go when they need a poo.
No, they’re just saying what they think we want to hear.
perhaps if they’d taken 2 lumps of coal into parliament..
Goodbye to the Science Last party.
No duh 🙄
hahahahahhaha
Not disengaged, just need people who stand up for their communities and big issues.
Andvyet again how out of touch the LNP is with modern Australia
Disengagement=wrong word—major parties can't win govt tackling tough issues like negative gearing or climate change coz they would lose (Labor 2019). This may never change. Voting for 'others' who can go hard on tough issues & sending prefs to major parties is mindful engagement.

Australian democracy: 35% for Liberals 30% for Labor
Edit… Australian’s pulled through Fires, Floods, Covid “Without our PM by our side” Now we have one who WILL walk along side us, NOT blame us. As DanielAndrewsMP DID!
I don't think 'disengaged' is the right word. Australians are actively fighting against the two party system. Disengaged sounds so passive, this was anything but passive!
