Liberal MP Steve Irons has been caught on camera lashing out at hecklers and accusing Labor of voting for “pedophiles, sex offenders and rapists.”
Displeased by the line of questioning, the Liberal MP can be seen approaching the men before returning serve. In a statement, Mr Irons says he will “not stand by and allow Labor-Union thugs to intimidate women, and I will certainly not allow anyone to verbally abuse my wife.” Both Labor and the Coalition have invested healthy resources into the local fight, with Swan hanging on a margin of just 3.59 per cent.
