Legendary Australian cricketer Shane Warne has died aged 52

Warne’s manager, James Erskine, confirmed in a statement to the“It is with great sadness we advise that Shane Keith Warne passed away of a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand today, Friday 4th March,” the statement says.

“Shane was found unresponsive in his Villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”The Victorian revolutionised the way the game was played and inspired a generation of cricketers.News of Warne’s death will send reverberations around the cricketing world. There has already been an enormous reaction of shock on social media.

Warne debuted in 1992 for Australia against India and retired in 2007 after a 5-0 Ashes series whitewash against England. Former teammates and cricketing icons paid their respects on social media in the early hours of Saturday evening.
