The impact of the planning failure that put unbearable amounts of plane noise ✈️✈️✈️ over these seats should not be understated. What will be interesting is if Labor actually follows through with the election promises on noise.. that clearly were not overly trusted.
Labor need to keep the cross bench on side while also differentiating from the Greens, to not cede more on the left. They can’t afford to in lockstep, rather the need is to inhabit the centre-left. Hence there will be policy differences between the two parties moving forward.

The difference between 3 or 4 is probably small as their seats in the senate will give the Greens a lot of power anyway. Labor will be consultative and conciliatory as they will have an eye on the future and won't want to make enemies. auspol
I think That passing bills without a majority would be no problem. There is sure to be one out of 14 Independents and Greens that will support a particular bill.
