They were compulsory in the 80s and never should have been stopped in the first place

For decades swimming lessons were compulsory until the idiots removed this life saving principle. And now Labor want a pat on the back for declaring WE WILL GIVE EVERY CHILD SWIMMING LESSONS. The wheel turns but the cogs are blunt.

That's very good to hear. But aren't most drownings by drunk men?

We had mandatory swimming lessons at school when I was a kid in the 80s. There is nothing I hated more at school, not even corporal punishment.

We had mandatory swimming lessons as kids through primary school every week was fantastic. It should be part of the curriculum
