Nationals MP Keith Pitt says Labor’s proposal for the “cheapest and cleanest” energy is “just not true; it’s not factual”.

“There full of heavy metals; you’ve got to build 28,000 kilometres of transmission,” Mr Pitt told Sky News host James Morrow.

“You’ve got to have enormous sways of land covered in solar panels that get replaced every 20 years assuming they don’t get hit by a hailstorm.“It is clean.

Coming from the most untrustworthy news source in Australia.

This being tweeted by suggests that it is Mr Pitt whose words are Murdoch... I mean bullshit

Sorry how can he know about Labor plans, because when he been in goverment like a Minister’s he doesn’t know Morrison he been occupied his minester position and take all decisions before he know hahahaaaaa

And nor is climate change

It's already cost $450 million in compensation to a non-Australian company. How much more will this cost.

getting the truth out of the electricity mafia is looking very hard

Coal Pit does not like renewable energy. Period.

National MP Keith Pitt is a liar.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I can remember when the National Party was a party for people on the land not for big companies digging it up.

The Nationals only represent mining interests so of course Keith Pitt will say that.

The Nationals don't tell lies. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

He needs to ask the other resources minister, what's his name?

Agree.

Mummy, it’s just not true!

Germany, 20 years spent $600B+ on renewables. Germans now burning wood & horse sht to keep warm Wind & Solar Can’t Deliver 24/7 Power

When you REALLY are the pits you get named Pitt... NFI

Mr Pitt is a keen irrational discounter. Still is, in 2022.

There (sic) full of heavy metals; great sways (sic) of land. Who edited this crap? Solar panels do not contain heavy metals other than copper in wiring and a few g of silver. Solar panels to provide 1.25 x all Oz energy ~14,000 sq. km, at 1 per 10 sq.m, 0.18% of total land area

Australia's natural beauty gone forever

😂😂😂😂. Who the fuck would listen to the spokesperson for the Coal industry…

Why, oh why, would anyone believe a thing that comes out of Pitt’ mouth!?

But it is a climate emergency

Those wacky Nationals just make things up and you print it.

The ACT is on the grid but we have purchased sufficient renewable energy capacity to meet over 100% of our needs under long term contracts at cheaper rates. Our domestic energy bills are stable and not rising.

I love seeing low numbers in this account. 🤣🤣🤣

Could I get an unbiased opinion on that please?

So dumb

How is one incredibly biased and conflicted view even rate as “news” ?

Of course the nationals would be so much wiser than labor!

Despite proven facts & overwhelming consensus, Murdoch incites fossil fools & nuclear nuts to defend his mates who control the source, production, storage of energy, ensuring they dictate supply & price to gouge tax free profits. Is ideology, ignorance or greed?

This will send the RWNJs & deniers into a frenzy. They will ignore facts, logic, science & economic principles to barrack blindly for their team of delusional ideologues. They are just being scammed!!

Actually it is!!! CSIRO Renewables Cheapest Forbes/BP/Pivot Renewables Global - Financial Case Renewables

Mr Keith Pitt M.P. If I have installed 3 KW of solar on my roof backed up with a battery system and my last Electricity bill was a CREDIT of $16.00 how is that not cheaper ? Maybe you are missing something like integrity ?

Bullsh!t baffles brains

Pitt is LNP. Every single one of them are proven liars. They lie incessantly. Due to this, nothing he - or any other member of the LNP - says is worth hearing. Like Sky, who report their lies, so can't be trusted. Propaganda. Worthless ... Like the billionaire who owns them ...

Nationals don’t even know what they stand for they are useless.

It’s an opinion, and so to be disregarded.

Labor is preparing to sell out its working class base for the trendy inner city soy-cafe set. There will never be cheap renewables. Wake up … Labor hates it’s true blue supporters.

That man must have big balls, he thinks he's entitled to tax funded wages , something wrong when you take payment for services not rendered.

Why is it that the countries that have adopted these ’cheap’ sources of energy have such expensive power bills? 🐂💩

It would be naive to expect a government to be honest. Neither party has any credibility.

‘Very easy’ to ‘blame’ Meghan Markle for everythingRoyal biographer Katie Nicholl says Prince Harry was 'just as much behind' the Sussexes' exit from the Royal Family as his wife Meghan. Ms Nicholl told GB News' Cameron Walker the prince had been 'looking for a way out for some time' and his wife Meghan was a catalyst to his decision to step back. Their allowance from the public purse is also terminated, one would expect? The British brilliantly transformed their medieval monarchy into a constitutional democracy for the 21st century. Seamlessly integrating commoners into the royal family with a proper balance of duty and privacy? Not so much. Planned a long time ago. ‘Good for tennis’: Nadal backs in Djokovic’s return for Australian OpenSpanish tennis star Rafael Nadal has welcomed his rival Novak Djokovic's return to Australia as 'good for tennis', arguing it's better for the fans that the 'best players' compete on court. 'Novak is here. Good for tennis, good probably for the fans. Best players on court, always better,' Mr Nadal said on Wednesday. The 22-time Grand Slam champion made the remarks in Sydney on the eve of the United Cup mixed team tournament. Mr Djokovic was deported in January 2022 after he was found not to have met the COVID-19 vaccination requirements of the time. The star will use the Adelaide International to prepare for his tenth Australia Open after he missed his chance at last year’s event. The Albanese Government confirmed last month Mr Djokovic would be granted entry for the 2023 Australian Open, which is scheduled to begin on January 16. Why should Novak return to Australia after the way he was treated last time? Just another instance where it all gets swept under the rug. Is Nadal shedding? Gives the cookers someone to support I guess

More Australians are travelling domestically ‘than ever before’Flight Centre’s Greg Parker says demand for domestic flights “has changed a lot this year” due to the ease of flying domestically in Australia. “It’s obviously a lot easier to fly domestically in this country than it is internationally,” he told Sky News Australia. “More customers are travelling domestically than ever before.” What a genius! That's an image of the International Terminal you're using in a story about domestic travel, btw. How long before individual carbon tracking through digital currencies means that flying is beyond the reach of all but the super rich? ClimateEmergency
