Australia’s misinformation tsar at the eSafety office, Julie Inman Grant, may wish to take a break from attempting to police the internet in Slovakia, to instead fact check Labor’s budget messaging.

Labor ’s Budget was filled with lies, spin and half truths but you won't see Australia's misinformation police lift a finger

Governments won’t do this as handing people back a small portion of the extra money they pocket off the back of inflation is great press. “According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, total average weekly earnings for full-time employees increased by 3.9 per cent — or $3,702.40 — over Labor's first year in office.

Will Chalmers’ budget ensure wages, not only grow next financial year, but grow at a pace which exceeds the Consumer Price Index? Labor’s promise was clear. It would create hundreds of thousands of jobs in the energy sector, off the back of $76 billion of investment, which would drive energy prices down in perpetuity.
