Queensland Labor is on track to retain government two weeks out from election day, according to the latest Newspoll.

The major parties are now tied for primary vote share at 37 after the state government gained three points and the Opposition slipped one since the previous survey on July 31. That translates to a two-party preferred lead for Labor – of 52 to 48 – marking a three-point turnaround from July when the LNP was ahead by two per cent.

Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington found a boost as the preferred premier – up by six points – but she still trails Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk lead of 56 points. While Labor will be encouraged by the statewide result, 12 of the government’s 48 seats are held on margins of less than four per cent – and a hung parliament remains a possibility.

You have to be Fkn joking! this bloated communist evil twin of Victorias lock em up master of disaster Danniel Andrews getting another term, what a sicko electorate, Build a wall man the towers keep em out of NSW,

Awesome Brisbane are out of GF so it'll be irrelevant to most Queenslanders... Couldn't be happier.

Australian politics is broken!

Yes, Labor will win by a landslide. What do you expect from a backwards dumb state keep voting in a Party that has racked up debt to the tune of $108b with the highest unemployment rate, dumbest state after only Tasmania, third world state infrastructure.

I hope not

Let's hope so .

Of course the option is Deb who? Stands for? Policy ?

ALP saying they have it in the bag. Four more years of policies aimed at shutting down the resources and agricultural sectors just to please the greens.

This qualifies the Queelsland electorate as brain dead suffers of Stockholm syndrome, build a wall Gladys make us safe from this insidious infectious,

Hopefully many QLD conservative voters are like me and ignore, refuse or lie to polls. This is a big movement due to cancel culture and why so many polls are out around the world.

have Queenslanders forgotten about AnnastaciaMP & QldLabor & their crap Child Protection . swept it under the carpet. nothing to see here

Shame

Rubbish! Qld has parallels with the USA election. There are about 20+ seats with margins of less than 5% and most in 1-2%. These will decide this election. Labor, like Joe Biden, might win the popular vote, but the final results will be dependant on marginal seats.

This must have been a really hard poll for Sky News to report on!

Why?

Please no.... she is hideous

Praying that will not happen.

Yeah yeah heard it all before.....Trump wont win, ScoMo wont win, etc, etc..............polls for moles.

OK Queenslanders, if she gets in, we don't want to hear about how you are doing it tough when the free money runs out and there are no tourist jobs. Enjoy.

Who the fk would vote for that chook

Yeah, and Labour were set to win the federal election according to polls.

I’m a Queenslander and I have not been contacted at all by any of these polls. They must be contacting Labor electorates because no one I have spoken too has ever been contacted

Queensland likely to be kept out of the NZAUSTravelBubble until at least then hey ScottMorrisonMP? Probably included the morning after the election if DebFrecklington wins, I’m guessing qldpol auspol TourismQ jacindaardern

Queensland LNP facing criticism over social media posts | Sky News AustraliaLNP Mundingburra candidate Glenn Doyle has defended himself – claiming no one is more supportive of women than he is – after old social media posts were released in which he appeared to call into question women’s education. \n\nOne of the posts – which was released by Deputy Premier Steven Miles – featured a video questioning whether a married woman should seek further education. \n\nMr Doyle shared the post a few years ago with the caption “more research is definitely needed”. \n\nHe also posted a selfie with One National Leader Pauline Hanson, captioning it “breakfast with the next prime minister of Australia”. \n\nAsked about the posts on Thursday, Mr Doyle said he didn’t know what the reporter was talking about, before denying it.\n\n“You would not find somebody who is more supportive of women than me in the workplace, in education, in every possible way,” he said. \n\nOpposition Leader Deb Frecklington also stated she did not support what was contained in the posts. \n\n“Absolutely I don’t support that, no one would support that. I’m an educated woman standing right before you at a university,” Ms Frecklington said. \n Frecklington would be the weakest Premier QLD ever elected if she got in,one moment she wants to keep border closed, the next she wants to open them, as Anna palaszczuk said when asked if she wanted Albanese to campaign with her: “unlike Deb,I don’t need someone holding my hand” Dr. Li-Meng Yan shows the evidence in her two reports that are not long and everyone can read, the coronavirus is manufactured and spread intentionally by the Chinese Communist Party.
