President of the Australian Jewish Association Dr David Adler says the Labor Party has "aligned" itself with an ideology "infested with terrorism" by recognising the State of Palestine. “I think this was a political setup and I think it was a bungle frankly," he told Sky News host Rowan Dean. “Not only are there no conditions but they’ve also stated that this is their foreign policy priority.
” “But if it was an election focused on foreign policy – what Labor has done here for the first time in Australian history … it has aligned a mainstream political party with an ideology that is completely infested with terrorism.” Dr Alder also said it was "extraordinary" former Labor MP Michael Danby, a member of the Jewish community, was "denied" an opportunity to speak on the issue at the Party's National Conference.
