KISS may have cancelled their Australian tour last week, but there's one concert they stuck with.

The only Australian performance by iconic rock band KISS in their The End of the Road tour has taken place on a boat south of Port Lincoln in South Australia. But a line-up featuring bass guitarist Gene Simmons, lead guitarist Tommy Thayer, and drummer Eric Singer took to the seas as part of an Airbnb promotion designed to promote tourism locations around the world.

The host of the concert, Adventure Bay Charters owner Matt Waller, said the concert was to demonstrate the charter company attracted sharks using sound waves — rather than blood or berley. "What we're doing here is playing a concert for the sharks as opposed to the sharks being entertainment for us, we're going to try and entertain them."There were seven or eight local boats that went out to listen in as well for a total audience of about 50 people — a far cry from the usual stadium crowds the band still attracted.
