Kabir is one of thousands of asylum seekers living in Australia without a visa. He has not been detained, but without the right to work or access to Medicare, he is trapped nonetheless.

"Individuals who have been found not to engage Australia's protection obligations, have no further matters before the department, and have exhausted all avenues to remain in Australia are expected to depart," a spokesperson from the Department of Home Affairs said.

Kabir has lived in Gatton since 2016 and is a frequent customer at the newsagency, where he prints out immigration forms for himself and others."He helped a lot of people with the paperwork for visas," Mr Spicer said."But still nothing? I'm very surprised at why it gets held up.A number of the Bangladeshi men live in a run-down house in an alley off Gatton's main street.

All aboard the band wagon!

Here we go Albo. You started it.

Yet he's in a Cafe with a takeaway coffee.

Are you looking for sympathy 🤔. Another burden on the taxpayer.

He needs to change jobs.

Should be removed from Australia 🇦🇺 immediately along with rest of them

not our problem, go back to bangladesh

Ffs

You have to go back. You will not be settled in Australia just because your name rhymes with beer.

Lol he's working alright, just not declaring any of it to the ATO.

Economic migrant. GO HOME!!!

Deport.

$400 more a month than I get. GTFO

DEPORT!

We didn't ask you to come here. I suggest trying another country. How about the people at the ABC fund ALL asylum seekers from their $1.4 billion income and stop pushing this barrow? Or offer to get them to be flown to the closest UNHCR camp so they can apply from there.

No chance there is no Federal election .

Of course! We at the ABC hope for a Biloela-style rescue! We urge all SJWs to get behind this brave man. After all, it's the only way to bully the government into changing the rules for a select few.

'Individuals who have been found not to engage Australia's protection obligations [...] are expected to depart' Does this mean there are options here and they're refusing them? This needs qualification.

The lesson here is to always buy the return ticket. If you can’t afford it to begin with you risk not being able to afford it when it’s time to go home.

Time to go back to India, Pajeet

Go tell someone who gives 2fcks. Deport.

The expected consequence of Albo's weak leadership.

No worries, right govt in power.

Send him home

How about you go home? Would that work for you?

Shit, looks like he's on skid row, poor bloke 🙄

Why is the govt not deporting failed claims.

Lives on 400 a month, but can go out and buy coffee from a coffee shop?

Illegal boat person with a bs story about “political links” should been sent packing years ago.

Why is he still here if his attempts to claim asylum have been dismissed? What's going on?

If he isn’t on a visa then he has no right to live here. Must be on a bridging visa?

im pretty sure hes allowed to work back home...

And this exactly why there must be a no exceptions rule for unauthorised arrivals. Once you let one through, it becomes an avalanche. This is regardless of how good the people are or how deserving they are.

Thats about all any average ozzi gets. Earn 1$ and spend 5$.

No thanks!! As a migrant who came to this great country the correct way, we don’t need anymore of these free loaders. They are not even actual refugees!! Bangladesh is a fine country they can go back to.

Illegal and 'poor' but out buying coffee ... 😵

He too needs to go back.

Love to help you out Kabir but due to the Covid scam we're all out of cash.... Better luck elsewhere.👍

$100 a week, a smart phone, free rent & undisclosed support from friends they're probably doing better than a lot of Aussies on jobseeker... Why haven't they offered to renovate the house they're in exchange for a rent deduction...I am sure the RC would have resources to help !

Great to see the homeless and cost of living is fixed.

just go home He is aging n costing us money Look at refugees in Greece They do not get any money They live in tents

Time to go back to Bangladesh.

Victorian schools deal with rising cost of casual teachers during shortageSchools in Victoria are being stung thousands of dollars to employ casual relief teachers as the state deals with a widespread teacher shortage. Principals say they are being exploited by agencies who are charging up to $6,000 in spotters fees, which are well above the daily rate of pay for a casual teacher of around $400. The ‘education’ system, obviously I mean the indoctrination system is in crisis. Woke rules the day, there’s no discipline, no standards, the system is a farce. No wonder no one wants to work there. Forcing the poison just made it worse. Now what could be the cause? How many teachers were laid off because they did not have their 💉💉💉 and are still not allowed to return to the classroom. Anyone that thinks unvaccinated people are contagious and the only covid spreaders are fools. Destabilizing students' education.

Modern Australia’s definition of wealth is changing with the rise of ‘singledom’Modern Australia’s definition of wealth is changing with the rise of “singledom”, according to Demographer Bernard Salt. “Yes being able to secure a divorce if you’re in an unhappy relationship was an important breakthrough,” he told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood. “But there was another shift as well that’s driving this and this is the postponement to commitment of marriage. “In 1971 the average age of first marriage for Australian women was 21, today it is more likely to be 28 or 29, that seven years has now been transferred to completing education and training, maybe a gap year, trialling relationships, and travel or whatever it is, it’s a lifestyle choice.”
