Nationals leader M_McCormackMP has further stoked leadership tensions with comments about marriage on Monday.

Barnaby Joyce has told Sky News political editor David Speers he hopes Nationals Leader Michael McCormack’s comments pertaining to marriage were a ‘faux pas’ and not a veiled swipe at his failed relationship.

Mr McCormack said he knows how to run the National Party, as part of the Liberal National Coalition, because he knows how to run a ‘successful marriage’. Mr Mccormack’s comments followed Mr Joyce's revelation that he would feel ‘no guilt’ taking over the leadership of the Nationals because he is the ‘elected deputy leader’.

MSMWatchdog2013 Barnaby Joyce must be fearful, he might lose his seat come the election. Not a unfounded fear, especially if the Shooters Fishers and Farmers party do well in state electorates in the Division, when the state election occurs.

Barnaby should have forced a power station years ago, too late now.

LyneFomiatti Good on ya Bananaby break away from them LYING liberals leave MICK MAC with SCUMBO the BUBBLE HEADED THICK as a BRICK CLOWN and DRINK ya self to death with all the Queensland CLIMATE DENIERS..

....and who cares? They will both be corrupt minority voices in a disjointed opposition in a couple months.

Yep. If the Liberals want to behave like liberals then stuff ‘em. Rebrand time Barnaby_Joyce Take the lead and a leaf from realDonaldTrump

Best choice as there is no leader in liberal party with back bone

But can he take the majority of Nationals with him? McCormack is disrespected by his colleagues and an electoral liability with voters.

I think it is more like he is listening to the people that he represents and airing their views ,but you will still push your bias reporting for your labor party .

All things considered Barnaby is onto something.
