The level of protection against moderate and severe COVID-19 was 72 per cent in the US, 66 per cent in Latin America, and 57 per cent in South Africa. This vaccine does not need to be kept frozen, meaning it's a good candidate for countries with weaker infrastructure. The company plans to seek emergency use authorisation from the US Food and Drug Administration next week.
