Advertising veteran John Singleton has inked an $80 million deal to sell out of his landmark radio station, ending six decades in the industry.

Nine is seeking to buy his 32.2 per cent stake, which controls 54.

5 per cent of the company home to 2GB radio in Sydney and 3AW in Melbourne, after Fairfax Media's takeover. All eyes are now turned to see whether Sydney investor Mark Carnegie will accept the offer, which stands until October 14. Image: Getty
