Treasury documents note that "arrangements for claiming the Hiring Credit will require an employer to demonstrate both an increase in payroll and an increase in headcount" and that there are costs involved in getting rid of and hiring employees. In response to questions about the table, a statement from Treasury contended that "any JobMaker Hiring Credit payments received by employers will, at most, only offset the increased payroll from the eligible additional new employees", and that there was "no financial windfall" to employers if they replaced one full-time employee with three part-time employees.
JobKeeper, JobSeeker and now JobMaker, the only people getting work out of this are the muppets who come up with these names.
It's clearly affordable when companies can give huge bonuses

Bullshit. A couple of scenarios from Treasury don't make it so. Replace a $75K full-time skilled, experienced worker with 3 part-time $25K workers? Oh, and employ a $75K full-time supervisor to train them & stop them from doing something stupid like injuring themselves?

The unfortunate truth is I have a friend father who lost a job in 2010 and at the time he was 59 years old. Never worked again. Applied for 100s of jobs never got a single interview. There needs to be almost a bridging pension systems.
