The group of budding Aussie engineers arrived at a US competition to show off their hard work when they realised their project had been left behind. 7NEWS

Unfortunately for the group, their prized possession was left behind at Sydney airport, and was only located by Jetstar four days later.“To be competitive, that’s the bottom line.

Students from Monash University were on the way to the U.S to compete in a rocket engineering competition when they found out their prized possession had been misplaced.Thankfully, the rocket is now in the air, heading straight for the group in New Mexico. Luggage issues are affecting airports across the globe, including Heathrow in London, where hundreds of suitcases have been piled up inside the airport as staff struggle to keep on top of the backlog.
