Twelve months since he last played an AFL match before taking a break due to injury and mental health reasons, the Fremantle forward is named in an extended squad to face Port Adelaide on Sunday.

Star Fremantle forward Jesse Hogan is set to make his first AFL appearance in a year after being recalled to the Dockers squad to play Port Adelaide.Hogan had been sidelined because of injury and mental health reasonsHogan was named at full-forward in an extended squad for Sunday's clash with the ladder leaders on the Gold Coast, with Caleb Serong, Connor Blakely, Nathan Wilson, Sam Sturt and Stephen Hill also included.then took an extended break to deal with a mental health issue.

"I've been really impressed with how he has handled himself while we have been up here [Gold Coast] and since he has been back, to be honest," he said. "I think he showed that he is really close [to selection]. If he gets through training, it's looking really positive." "When he came back to the club our leaders wanted to judge him on his actions, not his words," he said.
