When Claire tested positive for COVID, she was embarrassed to tell her friendsEpidemiologists say hearing of people we know catching the virus is likely to become the new normal as NSW moves to living with the virus. When my daughter and her children in Sydney’s inner west got covid (I refuse to put covid in the upper case), someone spray-painted ‘Covid-19‘ on the front of her house. So that was bad. Someone else later came and got it off. So that was good. I therefore have mixed feelings. Catching it isn't anything to be embarrassed about. Great to hear she was vaccinated, so she's far less likely to be seriously ill. And she's isolating, so she won't be spreading it. Wtf? Embarassed? Stigma? My sister and her family got it in Sydney and they didn't feel any of those, they weren't vaccinated and just felt really fucking sick, oh, and abandoned by nsw health. Did they just find the one person who felt embarrassed and ran with it?
