Melbourne Victory midfielder Jake Brimmer has been crowned the best player in this season’s A-League Men competition, winning the 2022 Johnny Warren Medal on Thursday night.
Melbourne Victory’s Jake Brimmer was named the best player in the A-League Men competition this season.Brimmer won the medal with 32 votes, seven ahead of Brisbane Roar’s James O’Shea in second with Adelaide’s Australian international Craig Goodwin finishing third in the voting. Worts won the award for a remarkable season in front of goal, winning the golden boot for finishing top scorer of the league this season and also setting a new record for most goals in a match, scoring five against the Roar.
Adelaide striker Fiona Worts has won the Julie Dolan Medal for best player in the A-League Women competition.Unsurprisingly, the man who masterminded that recovery, Tony Popovic, was named coach of the season for the third time in his career.
