Trapped in a never-ending cycle of back pain and locked in a compensation battle with a government department that had placed her under surveillance, senator Jacqui Lambie tells the defence royal commission she lost hope completely.

Trapped in a never-ending cycle of back pain and locked in a compensation battle with a government department that had placed her under surveillance, Jacqui Lambie lost hope completely.

It began a slow journey of rehabilitation, and a desire to do what she could to make the lives of veterans better, that eventually led to her being elected to Federal Parliament in 2014. She told the commission she initially thrived in the environment, but it was not long before she was thrown a curveball.is a confidential telephone and online service for ADF members and their familiesprovides 24-hour free and confidential counselling and support for current and former ADF members and their familiesis a national support services provider for Defence personnel, contemporary veterans, and their families.

When making a claim for a handout or to avoid deployment you have to expect to be challenged to support your claim. Taxpayers shouldn’t be shelling out just cos you say you’re unwell. You do have to prove it. Sounds dodgey.

How did Ms Lambie get the impression that the Dept of Defence or agents of Comcare were a repository of ethical standards or be in possession of a moral compass?

I was followed by private investigators with a video camera… thanks star city casino…

Yet JacquiLambie continued to support the big brother, now defunct, Indue Card and was seen arm in arm with card pusher, Twiggy Forrest, who is no friend of the struggling : more about extreme corporate greed. auspol

Well ADF has a long history of intimidation and bastardisation. There are many out there who are waiting to claim. Often leadership ignored suffering referring to it as being weak or lazy (toughen up) I don't have crushed vertebrae from lifting Bren Guns but I know some who do.

JacquiLambie ALWAYS plays the victim in the media, but will block you when asking her a legitimate question of how an injured veteran TOTALLY INCAPACITATED (100%) for work, and receiving DVA benefits, can go directly into a FULL TIME and demanding $200k plus Senator job.

As a Veteran, I find it insulting that JacquiLambie, in my opinion, was able to abuse the system to her advantage. Such actions are why other Veterans can face difficulties from DVA in getting the assistance they desperately need. She is NOT a crusader for military veterans.

Apparently the rules should be different if you're a parliamentarian...

Probly just had her boobs out.

I feel for the poor man who had to follow her around. My thoughts are with you.

Pain in the rear more like it!

There should be a law against taking photos of children without parents' permission.

Poor bastard that had to listen to that accent for weeks

Who's bush was it?

DVA & dept of def should be held accountable for their incompetence and corruption when dealing with injured service members. It took me 30 years to finally get some support for toxic chemical exposure injury. The lies & deception they used was disgusting. We're expendable.

I don't believe a word that thing says.

They always do that. I rang the police on my guy as I wasn’t sure who was following me to the chemist and back

Compassionate posting to Tasmania. Fails to deploy because injury is bad 2 days before deployment and medically discharged. Saw plenty of these folk in defence. Complete drain on everyone else that has to pick up the slack

Governments have to be responsible with their spending so surely as an MP she would know to expect that everyone would be checked up on. FRAUD does happen and governments job is to stop it.

Jacqui Lambie should not feel special. For time immemorial insurance companies have been spying on people who make claims for workers’ comp. Insurers also continue to make unreasonable, torturous & tortuous demands on them for assessments, meetings and documents, etc.

Pic or it didn’t happen.

‘If you don’t like it, leave’: renters priced out of their homes as landlords pass on costs of RBA rate hikesGreens MP says there is ‘desperate need’ for reform as tenants feel the pain of low vacancies and rising interest rates Excellent idea, why wouldn’t we want a world where both landlords AND their tenants are happy Well what do you expect if every business is passing on costs like food, clothes, fuel, services, flights, household goods and building materials, cars etc etc so why would landlords do the same?
