An EU official confirmed to the ABC that Italy refused the export authorisation, and the decision was supported by the European Commission. In January AstraZeneca cut its supplies to the EU in the first quarter to 40 million doses from 90 million foreseen in the contract, and later told EU states it would cut deliveries by another 50 per cent in the second quarter.

Anyone explained that those most at risk are the European migrants that made Australia great the Italians Greeks Dutch Albanians etc that came out here in the 1940s/50s are the vulnerable waiting for vaccines. Melbourne the biggest Greek city out of Greece.

AstraZenica Italy needs it more than Australia. I recall the pics from Italy and the thousands who died. We have been very lucky in Oz except for the Ruby Princess and the deaths in aged care. A friend who lives in northern Italy said that MH issues are a real concern.
