What Philosophy is being referred to, much philosophy of cultures outside the West still use religion as a basis for their philosophy that permeates not only everyday life but also Government. Thankfully much of the West has left religion behind when it comes to government.
Go read some Lao Tzu & Confucius and then compare to Aristotle, Heidegger etc. No contest is terms of anything beyond simple how to live stuff
Do people still study Kant? YAWN! Other than in a history of philosophy sense? Thought we'd moved on to postmodern philosophy. Rumor is, in Europe even the postmodern philosophers are a little passé these days. IMO use whatever philosophy fits, wherever it comes from.
It is and with dismay I out two of my favourite authors, Charles Dickens and Mark Twain for similar comments. It suggest that even the most advanced, humane, writers and brilliant thinkers fall into attitudes and social mores of their times. No excuse, we too, forgive us all.

This is incidious. Note the Left (the ABC) never criticises Marx or the postmodern philosophers as “racist” or “colonial”, because they’re happy to use critical theory and postmodernism to deconstruct the West.

If you are talking about race & not philosophy, you are being racist, not philosopher. Cultural practices make certain races focus more on the colour of their skin than others. At the moment, certain people r being more racist than others. I wouldn't class a whole group as racist
