The Mount Baw Baw ski resort was evacuated because of bushfires on Saturday after the hottest day ever, but just a few days later there is a dusting of snow and no-one to enjoy it.

From a bushfire emergency to a light dusting of snow, Victoria's Mount Baw Baw has experienced some wild weather over the last few days.A cold front moving east brought in frigid air which led to the light dusting of snowWhile an evacuation order remained in place due to nearby fires, the mountain was hit with sub-zero temperatures on Wednesday.

"It's been an amazing few days. We had our hottest day ever up there last week and then the snow," said Mt Baw Baw's visitor services manager, Sally Brooks.Ms Brooks left the mountain on Saturday night after an evacuation order was issued. "There was quite a bit of fire activity — we had a trail festival up there at the time, lots of people running, so it was quite an evacuation," she said.

"We totally understand that and are very supportive of all the emergency crews that have been involved.

So did it put out the fires - praying it did 🙏

They say it like its unusual in this country 😂

Poor ABC is confused, it forgets weather still happens.

First they baste you like chickens , then fry you with man made hell fires ....... Next is floods, hail storms, avalanches, tornadoes (Storm surges). Don`t forget heatwaves have killed more then the man made hell fires & storm surges put together.
