The flu has virtually disappeared from the US, with reports coming in at far lower levels than anything seen in decades. Experts have several explanations for the lack of cases.

COVID-19 cases and deaths reached new heights in December and January, before beginning a recent decline.Flu-related hospitalisations, however, were a small fraction of where they would stand during even a very mild season, said Dr Brammer, overseeing the CDC's tracking of the virus.

One paediatric flu death has been reported so far this season, compared with 92 reported at the same point in last year's flu season. Some doctors say they have even stopped sending specimens for testing, because they don't think flu is present. Nevertheless, many labs are using a CDC-developed "multiplex test" that checks specimens for both the coronavirus and flu, Dr Brammer said.

It is not beautiful as it will bounce back and how many COVID cases are just the flu

Or... every flu case labelled covid... .

They could have disappeared before Covid if people had stayed home if they were sick and washed their hands continually and not sent sick kids to school. That's why it has disappeared in Australia.

Yeah, they diagnose covid-19 when it's actually flu.

Record low cases of flu. Meanwhile 500,000+ deaths from COVID. Not sure that's a great achievement.

Lol did they really though bit sus that

Because they’re covid now.

Yep, cause they are all the same Influenza A and B, and the scamdemic is just based on another strain of influenza A and B.

And yet COVID is in the millions. Just goes to show you how virulent it is compared to the flu.

That's because the powers that be, have decided to change the name of the flu to covid.

cool!!

Seems strange calling it beautiful when CoViD19 deaths are 16 times higher then the average yearly death rate of flu in the US though

bruh

It has become mental torture now. We students and graduates have been waiting since march. We are depressed we are really tired now. Is there anyone who can help us? LetUsBackToAus extend485visas We are tired of paying bills from overseas. 1 year is gone and still no plans

How many lives did covid save from the flu? Has it been beneficial?

This is a seriously ludicrous story... Either they have seriously missed flu cases, or even worse, classified flu cases as Covid. Very dodgy either way..
