In an emotional speech to parliament, the opposition frontbencher says she will 'dedicate' her time in parliament to tackling domestic violence

Liberal MP Karen Andrews has given an emotional speech in parliament as she recounted her experience of watching someone she cared for go through a domestic violence situation.

'I'm one of the people who has had to wait for text messages to come in and phone messages to come through and the phone calls are much worse, wondering if someone that you love is still alive,' she said, holding back tears. Andrews was speaking on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

It's a sad state of affairs when we in the audience can't pause in perpetuating the exact division that side of politics thrives on. It's hard to, particularly when their very publicly displayed values sits incongruent with another thing. There's no 'but'.

Why doesn't she start with the misogyny in the Liberal Party? There's a good place to begin

FAKE TEARS FRO A DIRTY LIER WATCH DIED SUDDENLY DOCUMENTARY OUR GOVERNMENT ARE INVOLVED IN WORLD WIDE GENOCIDE AND ARE BEING PAID TO DO SO..

Domestic violence gets to her, but Australian women and children living in horrific conditions overseas, hmmm, not so much, in fact she just doesn’t care…..typical.

K. Andrews consistently voted against removing the cdc …

But not enough to fund access to Victims Support (cut 75%) or Public Hospital point of contact SA/DV support team - cut 100% or safe housing or a safe workplace or safe abortion care or safe maternal care or safe mental healthcare- Must have been traumatic for you-

I do not condone Domestic violence but Karen waited to be in the opposition to bring it up? It would have been nice to hear that from her years ago when she was actually in Government..

‘I love the Liberal Party’: Victorian candidate’s ‘fight’ isn’t with Matthew GuyVictorian Liberal candidate Renee Heath says she is a Liberal because she believes in the right of every individual to live life according to their conscience and values “without influence from the government”. “That is regardless of sexuality, age, gender but also faith and religion,” she told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. Ms Heath’s father is a pastor at the City Builders Church, which is opposed to gay, trans and reproductive rights and has been linked to alleged extreme gay conversion practices. “None of these things that are so offensive, apparently, have come from me,” Ms Heath said. “My problem is certainly not with the Liberal Party, I love the Liberal Party, my fight isn’t with Matthew Guy, I am disgusted with 60 Minutes and The Age.” “They are the ones, through their reporting and bias, who have done this.”

Liberal candidate Renee Heath sets record straight about her viewsLiberal Candidate Renee Heath says the attacks against her are 'outrageous' as she sets the record straight on what she actually believes. You will get a favourable support from millions. Being gay is part of the natural order (though not the natural order of procreation). What isn't natural is the LBGTQ movement which is a satanic organisation designed to destroy the traditional nuclear family and the cultural fabric of the western nations.

It's just the LiberalAus way. They know no different. I saw someone with an Echidnas top walking down the street the other day. Said to my son 'What sport do the echidnas play?' - he googled it - Volleyball. Then is dawned on me - lots of spikes. They deserve 100k just for the name. Albo should scrap all grants to sporting and cultural organisations. But he won't. I wonder why?
