'It could happen here': Victoria's outbreaks threaten NSW's COVID-19 success | kaubo

"There will be community spikes, community outbreaks during the course of the pandemic, and in NSW, it could happen here just as easily," the NSW Premier told ABC News.

In the latest 24-hour reporting period NSW recorded 10 new COVID-19 cases, all returned travellers in hotel quarantine.Wednesday was the second day straight NSW Health reported they had found a false-positive case, revising the total number of cases to 3159. Authorities believe the virus is circulating in the NSW community among asymptomatic, or mildly symptomatic people. But the smattering of locally-acquired cases in the past two months stands in stark contrast to the 20 confirmed cases in Victoria within the last 24-hour reporting period.NSW has 47 active cases. None are in intensive care units and 2771 people have recovered, NSW Health’s records show.

So now if your municipality has 6 or so active cases it’s considered a hot spot ... these are crazier times than a couple of months ago!!!! Makes no sense ...... So if you're in NSW and see a constant stream of cars going by and not stopping...... just smile and wave, they probably holidaying Victorians. Taking in the sights from the inside of their car.

Coronavirus updates LIVE: Victoria records 20 new COVID-19 cases; Gladys Berejiklian says NSW border unlikely to close as Australian death toll stands at 103BREAKING: A man in his 80s has died overnight in Victoria from COVID-19. His death is the first in many weeks, bringing the state’s total to 20 and the national toll to 103, reports rachael_dexter. rachael_dexter Of course any death is sad but really once you hit 80 in Australia you are entering “borrowed” time as you are past the average life expectancy. Blaming COVID is just fear mongering. Before COVID he would have just died of “old age”. Now it seems a life “unnecessarily cut short” rachael_dexter Cheers Daniel ... this is on you 👎
