Benjamin Netanyahu News

Bibi,Lukid,Poll

Benjamin Netanyahu regains favour with voters, and even though his government has lost significant ground eight months into the war in Gaza, it seems reports of his political demise have been exaggerated again.

Benjamin Netanyahu 's political career has been declared over more times than most.In October, a key weekly poll for Israel's Maariv newspaper showed Mr Netanyahu's Likud Party, which he has dominated to the level of a personality cult, had crashed to a low of 14 seats.

His strategy of hanging on and blaming others has seen his supporters, many of whom come from lower socio-economic demographics and historically disadvantaged Mizrachi Jewish communities, slowly return. The current polls still show Mr Netanyahu's government has lost significant ground because, as is always the case in Israel, it is a coalition.

Why is the ICC seeking warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders, hasn't this already happened and who is involved? "In large parts of the country, you don't feel anything, there is water, electricity, supermarkets are full … it's a situation in which people are operating under a very heavy shadow but if you don't read the newspapers or listen to the radio and no-one around you was in injured or killed — then there is no war for you," she said.
