Mr Peters struck a blow on Thursday when he called Mr Carr a “Chinese puppet” on Radio New Zealand ,The New Zealand First leader dug in with his allegations of a CCP allegiance, saying Mr Carr “sold his soul to China” and suggesting he should be “kicked out of New Zealand ”.
The spat continued on Friday morning when Deputy PM took to X, formerly Twitter, with an indirect shot at Mr Carr. We should never be accepting of any irrelevant ill-informed shill from some other country to walk into New Zealand and try to tell us what to do. The NZ First leader posted again a few hours afterwards with quotes from an RNZ interview where he claims to be “in for a legal fight” with Mr Carr.
“Why do I call it bull***t?” the former senator asked himself, “because it’s been cobbled together to make it look like there’s more to AUKUS than subs… There isn’t”.
