A cohort of 63 international students touches down in Darwin from Singapore to commence two weeks' quarantine at the Northern Territory's Howard Springs facility.

A charter flight carrying 63 international students has landed in Darwin from Singapore.

The students — from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, and Indonesia — are the first cohort of international students to be permitted into Australia since March 20. The students will be transferred directly from the airport to the Howard Springs quarantine facility to undertake 14 days of quarantine. The facility has been used to quarantine Australian coronavirus evacuees from Wuhan and the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan, seasonal fruit pickers from Vanuatu and is currently housing repatriated Australians who had been stranded overseas.

The Northern Territory Government brokered a deal with the Federal Government and Charles Darwin University in September to fly up to 70 international students to Darwin.

Vaccine certificates could be key for international studentsThe proposal relies on linking verified COVID-19 vaccine certificates to the new digitised system for incoming passenger cards to be implemented this year. They are not telling people the vaccine does not work against the 2x Sth African strains and the Brazilian strain of CovidSARS2! Pfizer has a vested interest in making money off what it has made and cares little for human health. The evidence is published overseas ! The student entry system is deeply flawed. The vaccines are not working against rogue strains of COVIDSARS2- these strains even neutralise antibodies allowing re-infection. 14 days quarantine has just failed in NZ and person turned positive in community after negative tests Isn't he in Jail yet!!!
