ACT attorney general says complaints surrounding prosecution of Brittany Higgins allegation referred to federal integrity and corruption commission

He alleged investigators had bullied Higgins, forcing her to insulate herself from further contact with them, and that investigators “clearly aligned with the successful defence of this matter” during the trial. The Australian Federal Police Association, which represents ACT police officers, hasThe police union said it also supports an inquiry, but one that examined the conduct of a range of parties, including the DPP.

On Friday, the Guardian asked Shane Rattenbury, the ACT’s attorney general, whether his government was contemplating an inquiry and what form it may take.Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity – the integrity and corruption watchdog that oversees the Australian federal police and other agencies.

Will they be investigating the DPP misconduct as there were the ones pushing for prosecution despite being told there was no evidence? The DPP must be fully investigated by a non-partisan public inquiry.

jaquix173 Rattenbury said the matter had been referred to the ACLEI: “I am aware the matter has been referred to Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity (ACLEI). As such, it is not appropriate to comment further at this time.” Whitewash. Zero integrity in any of them.

jaquix173 ShaneRattenbury told me to report alleged AFP corruption to ACLEI. When I didn’t get back to ACLEI quickly, they rang me on both my phones including my new (unlisted) Optus number. They said they “looked it up”. They did nothing. A waste of time. 100% BS.

Very odd for a union to side with their bosses? Or is the union run by the bosses? All very murky and clearly thetes some sort of skulduggery close to being exposed here. The only one who appears to have any integrity.

Surprise! Looks like police complaints of political interference weren't wide of the mark.

This man is an innocent victim.
