Instagram is removing its activity feed feature which displays what posts users' friends are liking, following and commenting on.

The company removed the tab for some users at the beginning of August, announcing it would be phased out by the end of this week. Instagram said the feature was causing problems for users who didn't realise their activity on the site was public. Image: AP
