A US judge has found Infowars host Alex Jones liable by default in a defamation case brought by parents of children killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012.Connecticut Judge Barbara Bellis makes a default judgement against broadcaster Alex Jones after he fails to supply documents that might show he and his companies benefitted from his false claims of a "hoax"

The ruling means a jury will determine the damages Mr Jones owes to the families of those children and teachers killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School A lawyer for the victims' families says the ruling shows Mr Jones engaged in "misconduct" that was "designed to prevent the plaintiffs from getting evidence"The ruling by Connecticut Judge Barbara Bellis — who cited Mr Jones's refusal to abide by court rulings or turn over evidence — means a jury will determine how much in damages Mr Jones should pay to the families.

"They know they don't have a case for damages. And so the judge is saying you are guilty of damages, now a jury decides how guilty you are. It's not guilty until proven guilty." Families of the victims say they have been subjected to harassment and death threats from Jones's followers because of the Infowars conspiracy.

This could be huge for the US in so far as misrepresent and getting rid of idiots like this

Yay!!!!

That was like years ago, he has repeatedly addressed the issue and last I checked he was deplatformed for exposing Epstine and guess what turned out to be true.... pedo Island.....

Good. I hope he's bankrupted for what he put those poor people through

he have a big mouth full of s%hit now force him to sel his pants to pay the fine

I miss the days when conspiracy theories were fun stuff about aliens and Bigfoot and we didn't have to take any of it seriously. Nowadays it's crap like this that ruins peoples' lives. The survivors and families of the victims of Sandy Hook are just the tip of the iceberg.

Good. Ruin the prick.

Good outcome. Throw him in the trash.

And this is the guy anti vaxxers and protestors look up to

I hope that 'damages' includes the emotional and psychological distress he caused, because for the victim's families, that would have been off the charts.

👍
