Fruit prices climbed 2.4 per cent, while beef, lamb and cereals also posted steep price increases over the quarter . According to CommSec's analysis of the figures, bread and cereals, meat and seafood, pork and milk all posted their largest annual price increases in more than a decade. On top of the drought effects on fresh food, grocery prices were pushed higher late in the quarter by panic buying in March.

I haven't experienced surging supermarket costs at all. Is it just my supermarket?
Our Profit driven, FreeMarket Economy is outdated, inefficient, divisive, wasteful, destructive etc and this is part of it. We really need AFundamentalShift in HOW AND WHY we run our societies. We need to be more up-to-date, efficient, inclusive & less destructive & wasteful
One cannot help but to think that the whole thing was staged by the grocery stores to increase sales.
Prepping the masses haha 🐑
Freight costs for importing have skyrocketed too.
And insurance premiums?
Or maybe it's the supermarkets price gouging because we can't do anything about it
Every 2nd week woolies or coles would have half price of things like pastas, sauces, toilet paper etc but now they are in high demand they are full wack. BS
Why don't you wear a mask?
