I live on a street named after a Sergeant in the NSW Corp who was paid £3/12/6 in total; being 1/6 for each of the skulls of the indigenous people that he murdered and brought back to the barracks.

Fixed it: The thought of Liberal Senator Amanda Stoker is “terribly frightening”.

Of course she does, she is a horrific person, but typical of the hypocritical happy clappers auspol

To tell the truth, our flawed emotional logic must be laid bareTo achieve true reconciliation, difficult discussions about Indigenous dispossession and disadvantage can no longer be confined to the week of Australia Day. The date is 1 of many issues but its an easy starting point. As someone that was born in Germany 20 years after the war I have a good understanding of what it means to own ur history (good and bad) and the 1 thing u can't do is run away and hide from the bad stuff. So how about we stop guessing, and get the aborigine community to give us their top three choices (with a deadline to choose) and we vote on those. That way all the different tribes can combine into a single force and offer the options. If they can't we just leave it where it is

Calling the Sydney festival boycott ‘censorship’ is a disingenuous attempt by those in power to silence Palestinians | Randa Abdel-FattahThose who attack cultural boycotts in the name of ‘free speech’ are conveniently missing when Palestinians are routinely bullied for speaking their truth The real question is where do you draw the line on donations including from private money? Wouldn’t be much left if they continue this kind of boycott. Those that could afford to make a statement that achieves nothing did so at the expense of those who’ve suffered without their financial stability and in sight of some reprieve.
