The Northern Territory's peak body for Aboriginal health services is warning the government against reopening borders.

The Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance fears infected travellers could put Indigenous communities at risk. The alliance also said it was disappointed it wasn't consulted about the decision to end mandatory quarantine in the NT on July 17.

They have to open. Unemployment will destroy the NT otherwise. Sensible behaviour is needed, not hiding in terror under the blankets

Without business operating, there is no gst collected - with out taxation revenue there is no $$ coming into government coffers. Without $$ there is no $$ for their welfare payments. Just open the boarders, and with any luck, natural selection will run it’s course.

Luckily for NT PEOPLE the peak body for aboriginal health is not government .

I do wish these people would embrace the modern world... it's 2020 guys... not 2020 BC
