Indigenous native title holders will vote on giving approval to an oil and gas fracking project, connected by pipelines to new and existing ports, which may become Australia's biggest.

Indigenous native title holders will vote in the coming days on giving approval to an oil and gas fracking project, connected by pipelines to new and existing ports, which may become Australia's biggest. The vote will decide whether to authorise gas and oil fracking in the Great Sandy Desert, south-east of Broome

Karajarri Traditional Lands Association chief executive Martin Bin Rashid declined to be interviewed by the ABC, but confirmed in a statement that a vote would be taken on the project by native title holders. The oil find is described as "unconventional", meaning it is locked in dense rock that will need hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, to allow the oil to flow to the surface.

Today's ABC indigenous story aimed once again at dividing the community. Pathetic, absolutely pathetic for what passes as tax-payer funded journalism.

No one cares. The only thing that people should care about is if the resources will go to Australia first and not overseas

on hand, you have free money in term of royalty payment where mining companies trick local community with payment and government are happy as they will keep a pub and lot of pokie machine to get money back and other hand we will see if they have love of the land,

So a choice between love of country or love of money. The vote outcome will be interesting

Fracking is part of the oldest continuous culture on Earth.

Where's the video for Anthony Albanese's press conference? You cut away...AGAIN.
