There will be no more hounding of animals at Dogs' Home of Tasmania, which will continue with limited public-access measures put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic and only allow visitors who intend to adopt a pet.

Dogs waiting in shelters across Tasmania have become more "chilled and relaxed" due to limited public access during the COVID-19 pandemic, when only visitors with genuine intentions to adopt a pet were allowed in.

"What we want to change is the numbers of casual visitors, sometimes turning up in large numbers," he said,"We don't want them using our facilities as a petting zoo, which it has tended to become in the past." Senior vet nurse and dog behaviourist Michelle Jones said the reduction in large amounts of people gathering near kennels has been positive."Arousal levels are lower, stress levels are lower, the dogs have been able to enjoy some more one-on-one time.Ms Jones said staff originally feared the canine residents would suffer from a lack of interaction."The dogs that would normally not cope in this environment are certainly coping far better," she said.

NRL looking at 'skeletal tracking' as possible upgrade for controversial bunkerThe NRL is going to extreme lengths to find ways to improve its bunker technology following another round dogged by video refereeing blunders. The bunker are in a position to influence a Gambling outcome. Has anyone ever though of this scenario. Also I THINK they listen into radio broadcasters and are influenced by their analysis. This needs investigating. Just get rid of the bunker, and go back to on-field ref’s call. Teams should just accept the good with the bad. It would all work out about even in the long run. Oh, and no post-match “autopsy” super slo-mo replays to prove the ref got it wrong, either. Back to basics. JustAGame

Man 'born and raised' in WA questions border rules after being shut out while wife granted entryA WA man who is refused an exemption to return to Perth from New Zealand while his Vietnamese wife is initially granted one says he is 'gutted' and questions the state's opaque border policy. How stupid is WA? We’ve had thousands of people in our quarantine including other WA people. Zero issues in our quarantine. This is why Gladys should’ve said no from the start to other states. This is payback for being too nice unfortunate but rules are rules and we are trying to protect our hard work. no community transmission for 96 days. Transit to SA, do 14 days quarantine then on to WA for another 14 days, considering the circumstances 28 days quarantine isn't hard.
