But the Shire of Carnarvon has warned its future may be in doubt with an expected remediation bill of $1.7 million over five years. A structural engineering review estimated remediation works on the aging OTC Dish in Carnarvon would cost $1.7 million.Carnarvon Space Museum chairman Phil Youd said the Overseas Telecommunications Commission Dish was the only one of its type in WA, and only the second in Australia alongside Ceduna's facility in South Australia.
