A grandmother who was almost washed out to sea on a large slab of ice while posing for a photograph on a beach in Iceland has been rescued by a boat captain.
Catherine Streng shared photographs of her grandmother's February 25 ordeal online after being sent the images by her father, who was at Diamond Beach in Iceland when the chunk of ice was dislodged by a wave and started to drift away from shore."He waded out into the roiling water and pulled her off the iceberg as it drifted out to sea," Ms Streng said.
In the next picutre, she appears to have been swept metres from the shore and is being carried through surging water.Ms Streng said he grandmother had been given permission to pose on the ice by a tour guide and that others in her group had posed for photos before her.
Luckily, Randy Lacount, a boat captain from Florida was nearby and went to the grandmother's aid. Surely that's his porn star name?
Well yes we must all listen to others particularly tour guides ( sarcasm ) It looks like a set up as her pose doesn’t change while drifting out ?
