"We can't separate international events from the impact on Australia and Australians, and for those people who might like to say which of the events that I've attended on behalf of Australia, that I shouldn't have attended," he said in Perth on Tuesday.Deputy Liberal leader Sussan Ley took Mr Albanese to task on that particular comment during an interview with Sky News Australia on Wednesday.

Deputy Liberal leader Sussan Ley took Mr Albanese to task on those comments, saying"prime ministers don't have days off". Picture: NCA NewsWire / Steven Saphore "Australians can rightly be concerned whether he is the man with a plan, the economic plan, to address the cost of living concerns they have. We’ve had a lot of the government diagnosing the problem … we need to know what the plan is, the management, the control and again, the reassurance."

We assume Rupert & Ley had the same to say while Australia burned and Scotty was sun baking in Hawaii…..

Coooeeee. Dutton? Anywhere

The deputy leader takes a swipe because the leader is on holiday. Oh the irony.

Mr Albanese Every Aussie Man understand I can assure you Sir.

Do the words Hawaiian and holiday mean anything to this woman ? Keep talking ... being in Opposition could become permanent.

Ley has the same iq as boofhead

Looks like she ran straight to the Murdoch puppets to get her story out .

Clearly they still have the same advisors who led them off a cliff in May.

Short memory with a very childish response. If she wants to be taken seriously she needs to drop the 'I've got news for him' and learn which fights to pursue and which ones make her look silly.

What was the lnp.

Just the usual excrement oozing its way out of the media septic tank that is NewsCorp.

Hey sussanley your the last one that should be giving advice, this is your mess that Labour is cleaning up! 9 years of doing absolutely nothing, no commitment and as it unfolds no plans either maybe you were right before the election!! just leave this here-

Where is Dutton

Isn't it fabulous to see Sky's new approach. The old way didn't work, so they've decided a new approach - do it the old way

“Forced to defend his jaunts” is something one would demand of a PM who secretly holidayed in Hawaii during a major disaster - not a leader who attended a NATO Summit, sat down with a major counterpart who’d been lied to by the previous PM, and offered support to a nation at war

The LNPDisgrace will be in the political bin for years to come. A divisive rabble of a party with zero credibility. 🤔

Perhaps he could have done a realestate buying trip on the side so it would have been acceptable to her.

Good thing 99% of people ignore her

LNP gaslighting as usual

Harpy RORTER .sussanley did nothing does nothing will continue to do nothing but criticise a properly functioning .AlboMP Government with capable WORKING PM & MPs

This desperate housewife must be stay at home.

Makes me so angry to remember the Scomo days and that holiday when the country burned. I don't think Sky News has any idea how angry this still makes people feel. Or they wouldn't try to shove it in peoples faces with the flashbacks now that we have a pm that is actually working.

I guess when your most recent leader did everything possible to avoid doing his job of PM, and went on holidays during natural disasters, you might think that someone stating that they hadn’t been on holiday but we’re doing their job was “grumbling” about not having had a day off

A PM being out of the country is not ideal during a disaster not to mention all the other issues, it does not matter whether it's work or a hoilday. In saying that you can video conference a work meeting.

She’s such a liar. He didn’t have a grumble that he hadn’t had a day off. He was addressing criticising from the Opposition & conservative media that he’s been on a junket. He wasn’t. The PM was stating that hadn’t been on holiday, he’s been doing his job.

'Do nothing' complaining about someone 'doing something'

WheresDutton. Is he on a secret holiday in Hawaii How dare he leave in the middle of a catastrophic flood.

once again - libs not reading the room if this is their pitch against Albanese then they will fail they conflate the idea of being overseas as being on holidays who will they convince no one except those who have already made up their minds - and as we know - that is a minority

That's right, no one I've spoke to wants to be involved in the war in Ukraine but Gina Rinehart newest media mogul does some of what she beleaves, is in your election speech, as well ? Can you not think for yourself mate ? AlboMP

He got into power on the back of a one target strategy. Hey let us target Morrison snd defame him. Albomoronic did nothing about Kitching’s bullies. He is pathetic and fake he has had days off. New teeth stomach tuck. Fake man.

Albomoronic

His NATO Ukraine trip was not on behalf of all Australians but one in particular, who you might ask well Gina Rinehart that's who the newest media mogul and Ukraine mine owner instead of cooling the Chinese/ Australian relationship he go's to Ukraine at its expense 4 who AlboMP

Morrison had every weekend off and went on holidays during the bushfires - Dutton is on holidays now - god it’s going to be a long few years if this is the best punch they have

Anyone sighted Dutton. A physical presence, a press release, an interview a show of empathy or something. The bloke who wants to be PM MIA. Not a good look this early in his tenure 😳

Anthony Albanese defends overseas trip after Coalition criticises him for being away during NSW floodsFederal MPs claim PM more concerned about his global reputation than flooding victims but NSW premier praises Labor’s support Lol, it wasn’t a holiday in Hawaii More than 600 died while he was away. But his home team did nothing. He can travel to the moon if he likes but the PM needs to address the COVID shitshow which is worsening. Hmm compare the pair... One is mending broken international diplomatic relationships and visiting a war zone. The other was sipping cocktails in Hawaii with his Qanon mates.
