The comedian and TV presenter says he’s “never done a show enough times that I felt like I got it completely right”, but his latest, Wilogical, comes closest.

Does being a TV personality – and a “celebrity” – ever get in the way of pursuing your love of stand-up?

Each stand-up show you do, you perform hundreds of times. Do you ever hit a point where it’s like, I’ve done this show too many times, it’s gone stale? is as close to anything that I’ve got right, which is remarkable considering how few times I did it. But there’s still plenty of things that, if I had another 10 shows, another 20 shows, another 50 shows, that would’ve been better than they are. I don’t know, maybe if I toured for two or three years and did 300 shows I would get to the point where I’m like, OK, I’m just repeating myself now.

Not really that much. When I was in America touring, it was a constant source of frustration to my LA-based managers, that I didn’t want to go to auditions, I wanted to go to Denver to play some comedy club. That certainly wasn’t the way that they would’ve liked my career to go. Normally people do those things so they can get the auditions that I was being offered, then parlay that into an acting career. But it’s just something I’ve never been interested in.

Why Labor’s gas price cap will just blow up the energy futureEnergy is an essential service for households, but the case is less compelling to intervene on gas prices for manufacturers without unintended consequences. joking right? I thought parody wasn't something that the financialreview would print? It is time for this nation to take control of its resources and to remind the international multi-nationals that they need to pay tax and ensure that prices here are low. auspol AFR is always siding with the miners They are on a greedy to gorge themselves with profit Money n public interest is not a concern JUST MONEY Do you have any other ideal ways to reduce or cap gas prices for the local Australian communities struggling financially Maybe reduce GST tax Maybe make gas supply free on weekends only Any other suggestions Aussies?
