The new Labor leader wants to work with the government on key issues while his incoming deputy, Richard Marles, offers a mea culpa over his comments about coal auspol

Anthony Albanese flagged bipartisanship on some issues while vowing to take the fight to Scott Morrison.Mr Albanese vowed to hold the re-elected Coalition government to account "strongly [and] forcefully". But he also declared he was "not Tony Abbott" - who as Liberal opposition leader took an aggressively negative approach to the role - and said voters had "conflict fatigue", wanting "solutions, not arguments".

The Labor leader said he was "neither a climate sceptic nor a market sceptic" when it comes to taking action on climate change. "The business community [is] crying out for certainty and it's time that the government worked with the opposition to deliver that certainty. The time for ongoing conflict over these issues surely is over."

I guess we already know what the scare campaign ad for Queensland will be in 2022. The new deputy saying the death of the coal market is a good thing, picture feeezes, turns black & white, & a scary voice over - “Labor doesn’t care about your jobs / community.” 🤔

Bill Shorten also offered this many times. Many times.

So Labor is set to appoint 2 white middle aged men as their leaders. So can they remind me why they talk of gender equality as being a priority?

So stupid

But you are part of Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard and Bill Shorten though , aren't you AnAL(Anthony Albanese)....

Good idea......help get a sensible time frame in place instead of labor sleeping with the gay Greens for preferences to sacrifice jobs and manufacturing overnight.

Will they be brandishing smaller lumps of coal in Parliament? Let’s face it, neither major party is fully committed to combatting the climate crisis. Pitiful.

Richard must understand that it is not easy being Green.

But will Albo bend the knee to Murdochs? billshortenmp refused to do so and has my total Respect!

Playing both ends against the middle. Sorry, a pack of liars. Really.

Even if that is like 99% of the Labor party anyway.
