Banned NRL player Bronson Xerri has not been able to watch a game of rugby league since he was provisionally suspended in May for failing a drug test the previous year

“Throughout that period I was very depressed and at home doing nothing,” Xerri told Channel Nine.

The 20-year-old former Cronulla centre, who scored 13 tries in 22 games as a teenager in his debut season in 2019, has been training with renowned sprint coach Roger Fabri to keep in shape. Given Xerri is still waiting on a final verdict, the 20-year-old was reluctant to delve into the details surrounding his positive drugs test.He is adamant once his future is clear, he will shed light on the events that led to him making a life-changing decision that he now regrets.
