‘I know what I bring’: Kyrgios v Tsitsipas is the talk of London | scottspits

: The you-can’t-take-your-eyes-off-him reality of following Nick Kyrgios was simmering before Wimbledon kicked into gear at the famous precinct a week ago. But it went up a notch thanks to the Australian’s stoush with heckling fans during his opening match against a British wildcard.

And when it comes to drawcards, Wimbledon may have two of the sport’s big three in attendance this year -If in any doubt, just ask Kyrgios himself. By getting past Tsitsipas, the path could suddenly clear up further for Kyrgios, too, in the bottom half of the men’s singles draw. “There was just nothing the media possibly could tell me I did wrong today. I just know that you can’t possibly ask me anything and stir anything up.

“I am definitely thrilled to be facing him. I respect him a lot, on the court, what he’s trying to do. Although he has been a little controversial in the past, I think he’s playing good tennis.“I’m going to try and concentrate on doing my thing and pay attention to my own game from start to finish. Hopefully, I can stay there and do something great, have a great competitive match against him.”
